Campsite Gallery
Designed and built with our passion for wild camping in Scotland, we wanted to create something that doesn’t feel overdeveloped and seamlessly blends into the countryside. Fortunately unlike wild camping you’ll find lovely facilities with large powerful hot showers, flushing toilets and a covered hot water washing up area. All this retrofitted into a wooden Shepherds Hut that looks right at home here on the medieval ridge and furrow field.
You’ll be surrounded by a belt of young woodland, newly planted hedgerow and in the summer months wildflower meadows to enhance the local ecosystem. Wander into the woods on site and explore, or make your way out into the wider countryside where you’ll find endless walking routes, cycling opportunities and quaint village pubs. A bit further and everything a city has to offer is right at your fingertips. Highlights for the area include Foxton Locks, Rutland Water, Bradgate Park, Richard III Visitor Centre and the National Space Centre.
Pitching Up
Fox's Furrow is a small and intimate site with limited pitches to ensure that all our campers have a peaceful and natural stay. There are just 14 pitches altogether including 6 tent, and 8 campervan pitches.
Tents
The tent area is a large paddock surrounded by newly planted hedgerow with ample space to pitch wherever you fancy. We have a maximum of 6 tents on at a time to ensure this area remains peaceful and uncrowded. We have designed this area to be car free to enhance the experience but parking is very close by and wheelbarrow ‘taxis’ are available to help lug your stuff. Bricks are provided for instant BBQs and standing BBQs are also permitted. The facilities are right next to the tent area for maximum convenience.
Campervans
The campervan area comprises of 8 gravel surfaced electric pitches suitable for all campervans and most medium/large motorhomes. These are generously spaced apart from one another and most pitches allow room for a side awning. The shower and toilet facilities are within 20 meters of all pitches. As a natural site on a steady slope, some of our pitches aren't totally level, however we provide medium and large chocks to anyone who needs them whilst on site. We have a chemical waste disposal point with running water, this is for green chemical/no chemical only.

We are open to campervans all year round but we do occasionally have to close the facilities to prevent frost damage in the winter, we inform any campers booked in advance of this.
Please note we do not currently allow caravans on site.
Due to limited electrical supply, the campervan pitches are supplied with a 1500W / 6 amp electric hook up.
